This Privacy Policy outlines Kettlehill Translating & Interpreting(" I ", " me ", " my " or " the Company ") practices with respect to information collected from users who access my website at www.kettlehill.co.uk, or otherwise share personal information with me (collectively: " Users ").

I also receive personal information indirectly, from publicly available sources such as company websites and social media websites.

I do not rent, sell, or share Users’ information with third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Retention

I will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide my services, and as necessary to comply with my legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce my policies. Retention periods will be determined taking into account the type of information that is collected and the purpose for which it is collected, bearing in mind the requirements applicable to the situation and the need to destroy outdated, unused information at the earliest reasonable time. Under applicable regulations, I will keep records containing client personal data, account opening documents, communications and anything else for up to six years for legal and tax purposes, or as required by applicable laws and regulations. After this time, your data kept in an electronic form will be deleted and your data kept in paper form will be shredded. Any documents sent to me as part of an enquiry for potential translation work will be kept for a period of 30 days and will then be deleted if the translation does not go ahead.



I may rectify, replenish or remove incomplete or inaccurate information, at any time and at my own discretion.

I take great care in implementing and maintaining the security of the Site and and to ensure the safety of the information I collect.  I ensure that your information is secure through (but not limited to) such practices as

  • password protected files;
  • antimalware, firewall protection;
  • information stored in paper form kept under lock and key;
  • back up of electronic information password protected and kept under lock and key;
  • facility for the transfer of documents for translation using password protected end-to-end encrypted links.



I require any third party to comply with similar security requirements, in accordance with this Privacy Policy .

Although I take reasonable steps to safeguard information, I cannot be responsible for the acts of those who gain unauthorized access or abuse our Site, and I make no warranty, express, implied or otherwise, that I will prevent such access.



Transfer of data outside the EEA 

Please note that some data recipients may be located outside the EEA. In such cases I will transfer your data only to such countries as approved by the European Commission as providing adequate level of data protection, or enter into legal agreements ensuring an adequate level of data protection.

Marketing

I may use your Personal Information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, for the purpose of providing you with promotional materials, concerning my services, which I believe may interest you.  

Out of respect to your right to privacy I provide you within such marketing materials with means to decline receiving further marketing offers from me. If you unsubscribe I will remove your email address or telephone number from my marketing distribution lists.
